We are so excited that Coleen and Ray have accepted their invitation to be patrons of Saras charity. They recently met up with Coleen and Ray at the Nolan´s concert at the Telewest Arena. Ged and Julie said "Coleen and Ray are such a special couple and we are so proud that they are now Patrons of the Foundation. It´s amazing. We feel that they are such great ambassadors for the charity. They are bubbly and real family people and we are thrilled to bits that they have chosen our charity. It is not just about the money, it is about raising awareness of the charity and Coleen and Ray are perfect for this role in every way".
Coleen and her family raised funds for us on ´All Star Family Fortunes´ at the beginning of the year and recently recorded ´Celebrity Millionaire´ with her sister Maureen. When Coleen informed us that she was going to donate her share of the cash to us we were blown away...the show will be screened sometime over the New Year .....we cannot wait !!! Ray has been an absolute star, he has helped us organise Saras Charity Ball in October 2009 and is such a lovely and caring guy ..........its also great that Ray shares Ged´s love for the music of Bill Nelson ...its a small world!
In a recent interview with our friend and senior reporter of the News Guardian Hayley Revell, Coleen commented about filming Celebrity Millionaire "We were so nervous. When you are playing for someone else´s money it is so nerve racking. The charity means everything to us now, I am totally engrossed in it. I want to see the finished property and go to Crete and see the families benefiting from it".
Musician Ray said the charity has become the couples number one, and they will do what they can to make it happen. While currently on tour with the Nolans he added, "Coleen gets so many emails about charities and this one just struck a chord with us. We have taken it on and become patrons and we love it and we want it to become a dream come true".
