The Free Ice Cream event was a huge success -
thanks to everyone who came along to sample the best ice cream in the North
East of England - the event raised just over £250!!!!! a fantastic achievement.

We are pleased to announce that the excellent SHEBANG are providing the live music again at this year´s event which runs from 7.30pm till midnight.

daring sword play, stunning falconry displays and real life Vikings! For more

Sunday 1st August 2010 - Saras Walk of Hope
Join us for Saras Walk of Hope "to promote smiles and hope for children living with a life threatening illness", Sunday 1st August 2010 at midday.
Walking the four miles from St Mary´s Lighthouse, Whitley Bay, to Percy Park Rugby Club in North Shields.
A fun filled day for all the family. Bouncy castles, huge slides, live music, exhibitions, face painting, bbq, rides on our mascot Smurf, a miniature shetland pony and lots more ............with some very special surprises!

Julie, Faye and I recently met up with the leaders and the children at the centre and they are such a fantastic and enthusiastic bunch- we are thrilled that they have nominated the foundation as their chosen charity for this magical event.
And it's only £1.00 entry fee per adult, 50p for older children and small children are free!!!!!

Saturday 4th September 2010 - North Eastern French Cycle Challenge
Julie and Ged recently
met up with two very special gentlemen Vince Thomson (from Monkseaton) and
Gordon Pells (From Cullercoats) - the guys are in the final stages of
planning a 420 mile cycle ride through North Eastern France - starting off at
St Malo on 4 September and finishing at Bologne .
This is an amazing
challenge and will take 7 days to complete
We were delighted when
Vince and Gordon decided to combine this challenge with raising money through
sponsorship for the charity......

2008 was great, 2009 was
really great, and 2010 promises to be AMAZING!

Every year we organise a
ball near Sara’s birthday – to celebrate her life and raise money for the
charity set up in her name. Last year we raised around £15,000 so let’s raise
even more this year!
THE WHAT...
For all guests an AMAZING night of drinking (glass of bubbly on arrival) eating
(4 course meal) dancing (welcoming back last year’s absolutely amazing swing
band and the gorgeous Antony Costa and Jonathan Wilkes) auction bidding (with
our favourite compere the lovely Ryan Philpott - last year’s prizes included a
life size mosaic of Alan Shearer and a holiday!) and lots of other fun and
games!
We also have a limited number of executive tables which give you your own
special VIP area for complimentary reception drinks, guaranteed first/second
row seats with best views of the live entertainment, some complimentary wine
with your meal and an opportunity to meet the stars of the show!
You can either buy a table or individual tickets - all tables of 12.
