In sixteen magical years Sara filled my life with so much happiness, love and pride to last a lifetime. I know Sara will always be my `angel `and she will be thrilled and excited by the aims of Saras Hope Foundations and with the strength and determination, we have found through the inspiration of Sara we know the dream will become a reality. When the first child walks through the door of the Retreat Sara will be smiling down from the stars.
Julie Hoburn - Founder of Saras Hope Foundation
Sara was my best friend, the bond we share is precious and will live on eternally. I am the proudest ´mam´ in the world. You are my inspiration to folllow our dream and help other children and teenagers in the way you would. You are so special and I know in my heart the dream will come true. Thank you sweetheart for filling my life with love, laughter and joy.
Keith Gibson - Trustee of Saras Hope Foundation.
I was priviliged to know Sara, unfortunately not for long enough. I am also priviliged to be friends with Ged and Julie and was absolutely delighted to be invited to be involved and part of this wonderful dream to help make it become reality.
Liz McAleavy - Trustee of Saras Hope Foundation
I had the pleasure of knowing Sara, watching her grow through the journey of her life. I fondly remember her as a tiny baby, as a toddler, as a school girl, and it brought great warmth to my heart to see her become the buoyant and beautiful young woman that we remember.
For a number of years I would call for her during my morning school run and even on the darkest and most dire of winter mornings I was always greeted by the warmth of her smile, which brought light to each day. It was that same beaming smile that would meet me at the school gate, broadening the closer we got to her home and her mother Julie. Now through the Sara´s Hope Foundation, that warmth will shine as a beacon radiating comfort and hope to all those children who desperately need the touch of her wonderful smile.

I am involved in the Sara Hope Foundation as i was a good friend of Sara´s and I wanted to help Children and their familes to enjoy valuable time together in a completely different environment. What Ged and Julie are aiming to do, is a brilliant thing and well worth supporting.

Sara Hoburn was a brave and courageous young woman, who enjoyed life and lived it to the full. She always thought of others before herself and never complained once. She is an inspiration to us all and is the brightest star you could ever hope to see.

I met Julie, Ged and Mark whilst on holiday in Crete back in 2003 and it was immediately apparent they were genuine people with an infectious sense of fun.
I never had the priviledge to meet sara, but her photographs prove to me she radiates fun, happiness and a zest for life. I am honoured to be asked to be a part of the "Saras Hope Foundation" and relish accomplishing the goal of building and running the holiday retreat for deserving children and their families. The cost will be immense, but the smiles, hopes and memories will be priceless!!!
Louise Bloomfield - Trustee for Saras Hope Foundation
I got involved in the charity because I want to help children and families in the same position as Sara was to have smiles, hope and happy memories. I think that the Sara´s Hope Foundation is the perfect tribute to Sara and her bright, sunny personality.

Being part of the Saras Hope Foundation makes me feel as positive as Sara was. Aiming to bring families together to bring a little sunshine into their lives and to create something very special. I know Sara will be proud of us and will be with us every step of the way.
Mark Johnson - Trustee for Saras Hope Foundation
Ged and Julie know from experience how important time together is for families who have been affected by cancer. We hope our efforts will give children fighting cancer something to look forward to at the end of their treatment or give them the strength and positive attitude to get through the next lot of chemotherapy and I am so proud to have been asked to help make this dream a reality.

The reason I wanted to get involved with the charity was to support a wonderful person in Sara and also her family. If we can support a family or person through a difficult time and give them one special time in there life to treasure and love then we know Sara and her family´s dreams will have been achieved.

Sara was a good friend to me right throughout school, we started playgroup together, then Star of the Sea. Then onto St Thomas More. I still miss her and her lovely smiling face. We had a lot of fun together making a mess in my mums kitchen, making cakes (orange) because we couldn´t think of what else to put in them.
Lots of love, katy xxxx

Sara was the most courageous girl I had the honour to know. Not knowing that she was ill, she always had a smile and a hello as I passed by. That smile will always be remembered as it shone like the brightest star in the sky. Saras Hope Foundation has a dream that will come true. This is no longer a dream, we will build this Holiday home in Crete.

I hardly knew Sara but I can remember the way she never gave up, to me being part of the Saras hope foundation is the best and most exciting thing I have and ever will do in my life.

I feel priviledged to be part of the Saras Hope Foundation. Sadly I never had the honour of meeting Sara but I feel I know her so well through Ged, Julie, Mark and Faye. It wasn´t by chance that we met the Hoburn clan on the beautiful island of Crete in 2003, there is a reason we met, maybe the foundation is part of that reason, who knows. It´s a bit strange meeting thousands of miles away, when we live just around the corner.

Sara was always happy and forever smiling. An inspiration to all who knew her and truly special to all of us.

Sara was more like a big sister to my children, especially my son, and is a great miss to this day. My children thought the world of her and I know that she loved them just as much. Her sweet, kind and loving nature will never be forgotten. She was such a beautiful person, both spiritually and physically. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and always saw the best in people. For her parents to have established Sara´s Hope Foundation in her honour, I know, would make Sara immensely proud of each and every person involved in the Foundation, no matter how big or small their role is.
Jo Whitelaw - Fundraiser for Saras Hope Foundation
Sara was such a special person and an inspiration to everyone around her. Giving smiles, hopes and precious memories to other children is the perfect way to honour her memory, and I feel privileged to be involved with Sara´s Hope Foundation.

Sara was the happiest, most inspirational person I have ever had the pleasure to know. The Hoburns were like my second home when I was growing up and I remember many happy times there, like making a mess of the kitchen baking ´original´ cakes and listening to Steps on repeat. I think the charity is a great way to honour her memory. I´m sure she would love the idea of us brightening the days of others by passing on her constant smiles, as well as giving families hope and precious memories on relaxing holidays.

Sara was a fantastic friend and I am lucky enough to say she was one of mine from being little. She was very kind and loving and it´s great that this can be passed on through the foundation to make other children smile as much as she did.

I first met Ged, Julie and Faye in August 2007 when they were in Crete on a ´fact finding mission´. They told me of their dream and the reasons why they were looking to build a villa retreat in Crete. Their vision touched my heart, so much so as I am a very lucky ex-cancer sufferer who knows how terrible a time it is for everyone involved.
We had lots of time to talk about how the dream could become a reality. Since then we have been in regular contact and was asked if I would like to attend the Official Launch of the charity in June 2008. I flew over and met the ´home team´ of trustees, fundraisers and supporters of Sara´s Hope Foundation.
I met up with Ged, Julie, Mark and Faye in August 2008 when they asked me if I would like to be part of the team. I am therefore honoured, delighted and privileged to be the first member of the ´away team´. There is no doubt that together we will achieve the dream of Ged, Julie, Mark and Faye and more importantly Sara who is their eternal inspiration.
